Mary Darden
Rev. Mary Darden, a licensed minister, began her spiritual journey with the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age in her hometown of Oxford, North Carolina. She attended and graduated from the Granville County Public Schools, Adelphi Business Institute, and the Brooklyn Tabernacle Community Bible Institute in Brooklyn, New York. To continue to further her religious education, she also attended the Reid Temple A.M.E. Church Christian Education Institute in Lanham, MD. She is a trained Resolve Through Sharing Bereavement counselor in the area of Prenatal Loss. She has served as Missionary Society President, Bible and Sunday School Teacher, Class Leader, Church School Superintendent and Youth Leader. Rev. Darden has also taught and ministered in a number of venues. This includes leadership training, women’s retreats, workshops, prayer shut-ins and the Reid Temple Christian Education Institute. Her volunteer experience includes Promise Keepers International, the Garden of Divinity Christian Book Store and the Department of Ministry and Pastoral Care at the Dewitt Army Hospital, where she served as a volunteer clergy in training. In addition, she founded a Women’s Prison Prayer Ministry. Rev. Darden currently serves on the pastoral staff at the Tree Of Life Christian Ministries. She is active in ministry with hospital & wellness care; tutoring program; teacher for Believer’s 101, Sunday School, and Bible Study; and intercession. Rev. Darden is married to Leslie Darden and they are the parents of three children and grandparents of ten.
