Gwendolyn Dixon
Rev. Dixon was born and raised in Pollockville, North Carolina, where she became actively involved in the church from her childhood. Actively involved in administration in high school and college. Rev. Dixon has handled all business aspects of church administration from organizing seminars, anniversaries, point of contact for guest speakers, etc. She acted as liaison for domestic and foreign missions, assisting in preparations of missionary trips to Spain, Costa Rica, Panama, India and Uganda, East Africa. Rev. Dixon attended St. Augustine’s College in Raleigh, North Carolina where she obtained a Bachelor of Art degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduating from college in 1976, Rev. Dixon relocated to the Washington DC metropolitan area. Where she would serve in several churches in the Washington metropolitan are and was very active in church administration. Ms. Dixon was faithful in whatever she set out to do and because of her loyalty and dependability, she was asked to teach the Youth Sunday School class. Rev. Dixon eagerly received the Sunday school teacher’s manual and began studying diligently to prepare for her first teaching of the word of God to the youth, and was eventually elevated to the office as the Director of the Youth Sunday School Department. Rev. Dixon begin heading up seminars, conferences, and workshops for the Youth. It was at this point that Rev. Dixon realized and accepted her other call from God on her life, ministering to the youth. She enrolled at Jericho Bible College from 1990-1993 where she learned the basics of the word of God. Rev. Dixon enhanced her knowledge by enrolling at a Ministerial Institute in 1994 where she learned how to use reference bibles and other sources of reference material to understand the word of God. In 1997, Rev. Dixon enrolled as a student at the World Missions Ministries Bible College and Seminary in Alexandria, VA. After four and half years of deep study of God’s word, numerous exams, writing of papers, thesis, class presentations, pop up quizzes, Rev. Dixon graduated on August 3, 2003 with a Bachelor of Art degree in Ministry as an Ordained minister. Rev. Dixon currently attends The Tree of Life Christian Ministries in Alexandria, Va. She is in the Karios Intercessory Ministry, teaches adult Sunday School, and a Youth Minister. She is a single parent of a beautiful daughter, Genelle Nicole Dixon. Rev. Dixon adopted Genelle as a single parent when she was only 6 weeks old. Genelle is a graduate of Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology.
