Treva Mensah
Rev. Treva T. Mensah was born in Memphis, TN and raised in Milwaukee, WI. With all of her life spent in the church, she aquired great spiritual influence from her mother’s guidance and accepted Christ at the tender age of 10 years old, at a time when it was not popular among her peers to be saved. She was very much in love with Jesus and passionately witnessing to her classmates about his goodness. After graduating from high school; she worked as a data entry operator for five years finally moving on to Federal Express where she was employed for eight years. After the passing of her mother in 1991, the Holy Spirit blew her to the East Coast to take root in Alexandria, VA with her fiancé Francis O. Mensah. They were married in August of 1992. Shortly thereafter she rededicated herself to Christ and completely gave over her life to him. From that day, she began her walk with the Lord on a journey that has been filled with joy, pain and suffering, but her excitement in Christ has never waned. In 1994, God planted Rev. Treva and her husband at the Tree of Life Christian Ministries. Under the tutelage of Pastors James and Marcia Robinson, she has grown strong in the grace of God; feeding on the rich, untarnished word and receiving her purpose in the body of Christ. In 1996, she was given instruction by the Holy Spirit to teach and preach his word. From thereon she earnestly sought to do his will and show herself approved of God. On March 25, 2007, she was ordained by her Pastor’s as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In June, 2007 she became instructor and head of the New Members Class Ministry, in which she has served for 5 years. She also serves in other ministries: Drama, Kairos Intercession, Journey through the Bible, Thursday Night Bible Study, and the Registration Committee. Reverends Treva and Francis Mensah now reside in Stafford, VA with their daughters, Summer and Riley.
